A Part Of
“God’s purpose was that the body should not be divided but rather that all of its parts should feel the same concern for each other. If one part of the body suffers, all the other parts share its suffering. If one part is praised, all the others share in its happiness. You are Christ’s body and each of you is an individual part of it.”
1 Corinthians 12:25-27 GW
Religion
Time and time again, we have mentioned that Jesus didn’t come to start a religion. We already have too much of that. Religion is humankind’s way of reaching up to God.
God came down and reached down to us. If anything, Christ came to abolish religion. He came to make us stop from being self conscious and thinking we are self made and don’t need God or anyone. We do.
The Christ
Jesus of Nazareth was ahead of His time. He was a pioneer. He had no intentions of pleasing anyone (except His Father in heaven). His whole purpose was to bring heaven to earth, to bring people back to their Creator, to God — reconciling the lost back to their Maker.
God Completes Us
God’s purpose is to complete us, make us One Body — a body who hurts when one part is hurting, and who rejoices when one part is happy.
God’s people aren’t selfish or self centered or self conscious or about self interests. God’s people is selfless, God centered (Christ centered) and upholds the interests of others and the whole body of Christ over themselves. They folow the Holy Spirit than their whims and wiles.
The Christian
People who follow Christ becomes more and more like Him each passing day. They start as flawed, self made, egotistical, narrow minded, self conscious lovers of themselves.
Each day they are to move closer to what and who God made them to be. This world is ending, it’s fleeting, it’s temporary, it’s shallow, silly, superficial, skin deep. It is empty.
God is eternal, everlasting, real. God wants us to experience and live His reality, His heaven, His kingdom here on this temporal existence. And then He aims for us to continue on to eternity with Him as we pass from this age, this life, to life everlasting and the age to come.
This world is ending and everyone believes that it is, regardless if we believe God or not.
Our prayer is for everyone who comes here to have an open mind. Everyone has their own biases and belief systems. Our intent is not to proselytize. Scriptures tell us to renew our mind, be transformed and not to be conformed to this world, to be in this world but not of the world.
There are many other useful & practical lessons in this website, feel free to dive in and look around. Pray and look for a church in your area or even a group of people meeting in their homes or public places. Connect with people who follow Christ. Don’t turn to or look for religion. Look for the Church. [The proponent of which is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of the Living God — the One who points us to Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith.]
